ADHD and Academia
Screw you Australia.

Thomas discovered today that, because he’s American, he can only stay here for one year, not two.

So now we need to find him a job somewhere where they are willing to sponsor him.

Plus he’ll have to look for the job, then work his butt off, so possibly no visit from him quite as soon as we’d hoped.

Anywho. There’s a heck of a lot of mutual adoration going on and we’ll make this work. Whether we have to live in the US or NZ for a year+, or find another way.

But really, I just wanted to say a big F U to Australia, and America. If America reciprocated, Australia wouldn’t be a b*tch about it.

When French illustrator Thomas Lamadieu looks up at the patches of blue sky between city buildings, he imagines fanciful characters existing in the geometric gaps formed by the neighboring buildings. Lamadieu shoots photos of those patches of sky and illustrates them for an ongoing series entitled Sky Art. Thus far he has drawn pictures on the skies over streets and enclosed courtyards in France, Germany, Belgium and Canada.

Head over to Thomas Lamadieu’s website to view more images from his whimsical Sky Art series.

My boy loves me but isn’t keen on my state, Tasmania. I love him but have a deeply ingrained dislike of Sydney (in NSW).
But then I started listing the pros and cons of moving to Sydney and it doesn’t look so bad. ;)

                                MOVING TO SYDNEY?

I’m head over heels for this boy but he’s going back to Sydney on Tuesday and I don’t know if he’ll return to Tas, or choose to return to his home in Chicago. All I know is that he’s amazing and I hope he comes back.

Also I’ve never seen someone so happy to see Kangaroos bouncing. *grins*

Thomas and I just made real American lemonade… with Tasmanian lemons. Then turned it into raspberry lemonade.

We took him to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary today and we patted fluffy marsupials ;)

I’ve been asking the poor boy silly questions about America and Chicago in general and he’s being very patient :)

Pneumonia.

I just spent 22 days in bed, the last nine of which were spent in hospital.

I’m out now and on lots of medication, but tell you what - I can’t work for the next 6-8 weeks and my semester of uni is most likely screwed.

Still, it could have been worse. I can come back from this. :-)

Boyfriend yo :)

Yep.

He arrived today from Chicago via Sydney.

He embroidered me an Adventure Time picture with a quote on it <3

I’m going crazy in a good way for his accent.

His sense of humour and personality makes me melt.

So poor Thomas, I’m keeping him :) *grins*
